Creative Upcycling Workshop: Print Your Clothes into Wearable Art

In this workshop, you'll transform a garment you already own into a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects your personal style.

Using block printing tools, fabric ink, and uniquely designed stamps, we treat existing clothes as our canvases. We'll explore how intentional interventions can create something new and exciting. We work with a design-first approach - thinking about placement, rhythm, and expression - before bringing ideas to life through printing.

This workshop is about more than learning a technique. It's about discovering that you can create something beautiful yourself - and enjoying the process along the way. No prior experience needed: we experiment, play, and trust the human touch to create something personal, expressive, and full of character.

The workshop will be held in English, but the instructor also speaks German and French and is happy to clarify things in either language if needed.

What you’ll do in the class

In this 2.5-hours workshop, you'll design and create your own unique garment from start to finish.

We'll begin by looking at the clothes as blank canvases and exploring creative possibilities. You'll test printing techniques on scrap fabrics to build confidence, then develop a design plan and bring it to life on your garment.

There's plenty of space for experimenting, asking questions, and getting playful with your work.

What should you bring with you

Please bring 1-3 garments made of at least 80% natural fibre, such as cotton, denim, linen, etc.

We'll focus on printing one main garment, but extra options are helpful as a backup.
